three sentence update
Week One back at the seminary has elapsed, so that means nine more to go (with Christmas break in the middle!).
Tonight, although Kelly doesn’t know this yet, is Judy Garland Movie Marathon Night (A Star Is Born, Meet Me in St. Louis, In the Good Ole Summertime) plus jigsaw puzzles and snacks (brats, smoothies, soda, chex mix, chips + salsa, crackers + cheese + summer sausage + jelly . . . mmmm) to help keep Kelly awake!!
After 12 years of threats, Dad actually pulled up a chair and sat by me in class today.

Mmmm...sounds yummy...
I've never seen "A Star is Born" or "In the Good Ole Summertime." Did you rent these?
The way I heard it, pulling up a chair was your suggestion! (I think that's really cool.) Who would have ever guessed Dad's "threats" would one day be a truism :)
Wait a second. Your dad sat in on a Sem class with you?! Which class did he get the pleasure of joining you in? Did he take notes? So many question and so little information given!
Sorry, J. But, in my defense, I only had one sentence to work with.
Dad sat in Dr. Saleska's Hermeneutics class, but I didn't see him take any notes. Dad's good at making mental notes, though.
Oh, and sis,
Yes. I had to rent those. "In the Good Ole Summertime" is actually a musical version of "The Shop Around the Corner." Go figure!
