Welcome back, friend

Happy fall, everyone.

When my planner flipped to a new week, I was so relieved to see “First Day of Autumn” beneath the date. At first I thought Father Time must have erred; last week’s 90 degree highs and thick humidity pointed to everything but a season of jackets and frost. But my omniscient planner knew better (it always does!)—yesterday, a breeze of fresh, cool air welcomed me when I stepped outside for a run. The summer heat is fun, but I’ve been a little jealous of my Wisconsin friends raving about their sweaters and jackets already in the first weeks of school. At least down here, when autumn finally gets here it seems to hang around a little longer, which is, in my opinion, well worth the wait.

Pumpkins, cider, leaves crunching everywhere you step--how could you not love this time of year?

And to top it all off, finally, my template is back in season. Latte da.

I love that picture! Oh, what I would do for a great tasting latte. The likes of which come from Alterra or maybe even the Roastery. It is a little past 9am and it is 50 degrees here, but it might warm up to mid to high 60's. And I completely dominated on my first Hebrew exam... can anyone say cake-walk?

Glad to know you miss WI.

p.s. is that a black and white reversed image of the one under your "about me" section?

No, it's just one of the 30 pictures I took of this latte last fall. I felt like a dork at the time, but I think it was well worth the stares.

Congrats on the Hebrew test!!

Happy Autumn!

Shut your face, Jessie Rue. It's NOT our fault that those smoothies tasted like cat food. Even Dairy Queen thought it was a good idea.

I'm gonna have to go with pumpkin pie spiced lattes from (gasp!) Starbucks. Those are yummy. Otherwise my usual carmel chai latte, which already tastes like pumpkin pie in a cup. Good pumpkin pie. I'm assuming the smoothies were otherwise??? :)

Hope you and Kelly are enjoying St. Louis!!

Oh I AM WITH YOU on the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. Before it, I had no idea heaven could come in a 12 oz cup! That drink is actually what got me hooked on lattes over mochas. MMMMM!
