So Much to Blog!!

Yeesh! I haven't blogged in over a month--and it's been QUITE a month. A wedding, two receptions, moving to a new apartment, honeymoon, and the National Youth Gathering somehow all got jammed into July 2007. I think it's safe to say that the "craziness" is over. Kelly's starting teaching soon (actually, she's already started those "teacher meetings") and Seminary kicks off after Labor Day. But to have only one thing on our plate each is such a relief.

(If you're looking for some incredible pictures from our incredible wedding, don't look here. Look here. Or here. And especially here--e-mail me if you want the password for our gallery.)

But enough preamble! Here are the HONEYMOON PICTURES (Rated G).

Donald says, "Welcome to Todd and Kelly's adventure in Disney World! Quack."

The best thing was, when we wrote postcards, I had to ask Kelly how to spell M-i-c-k-e-y.

We waited, and waited, and waited in line to see characters in the Disney tent, and when we finally got in, we realized we'd been standing in the PRINCESS line. But it proved to be memorable. Those princesses are a hoot!
Our favorite quotes were:
"Have you had many adventures today? You have! Oh, you're so brave."
"Have you found your Prince Charming yet? I see you have!"
"Can I have my pictures taken with you? Oh, thank you!"
"Have a magical day!"

Magical, my arse. The Haunted Mansion was freaking closed for the summer!

MGM had memorabilia from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, including these stone statues, the four fur coats, and the witch's sleigh.

Muppets this-a-way!

All three days, I never got a chance to meet Donald. But here's a picture of him walking away from me!

Very scary!

Probably the best thing in all three parks: The Lion King Celebration at Animal Kingdom. It rocked. Those monkeys are gymnasts, by the way.

Eeyore was sad because we were leaving Disney. And because it was raining. Come to think of it, he was probably sad that the Haunted Mansion was closed, too.

(Actually, I have no idea why Eeyore was so stinkin' depressed. You see, he can't talk.)

It was meant to be. The Haunted Mansion was closed so that you and Kelly HAVE to return to see it some day. Great pictures. Great memories.

Mom & Dad

1. Did you and Kelly color coordinate all week?

2. Not surprised the Muppets made an apperance.

3. Tone down the Muppet loving.

4. I can't believe Donald walked away from you?! He looks depressed, maybe he was talking to Eeyore.

5. Glad to see you too had fun! And the buttons are sweet!

You'd have been more disappointed if you'd gone to Epcot.
Come see us sometime.

Ma & Pa: I guess you're right...we'll just have to go back! Oh well!! :-)

J:
1. Maybe...
2. Me neither!
3. Yeah, right.
4. Good call.
5. We did, and those buttons were HOT.

A: Very true, very true about Epcot. Epcot is one of those 1/3-of-the-day parks. And, likewise! We need to hang out soon.

Great pictures! My favorites include...

-Donald's welcome to the park
-your matching baby blue outfits with Mickey :)
-pondering the wall of Muppet people (it took me a minute to find you...kinda like where's Waldo)
-"very scary" (did you ride it?)

Disney is the greatest!

PS. I'd love to know what the person who took your picture was thinking when...
instead of doing the typical tourist smile, you two did a scared pose in front of the attraction!

We DID ride the Tower of Terror. Frightening as it is, it's one of my favorite rides. (Although I could only muster up the nerve to ride it once.) The whole Twilight Zone theme is done SO WELL!

Haha, I'm kinda curious, too, what our "photographer" thought when she took the picture. We actually made her take it a couple times until we got a good one. :-)

I would have loved to be one of the Disney employees on the day you and K arrived. I can only imagine your child-like wonder at the magic of Disney. No doubt Disney brought out the child in you, but then again what doesn't?

The Mansion wasn't closed when I was there- they must have liked me better because it was my birthday- psht to newlyweds!

You have to give Epcot a try at some point though because it has a lot to offer. I'm sure if you took the time to eat in every country and truly get in the experience of going around the world you could have a great time. It's just a whole lot of walking!

Next time all 4 of us should go! Hurray!!

The Haunted Mansion was closed two years ago, too! Man we were mad!

Your photos remind us of our own trips to Disney! Yeah! Fun! (And who WOULDN'T want to meet the princesses!!! Especially Sleeping Beauty!)

Hope you both are doing great over there in Chesterfield!
