A Little Overambitious?

Once the calender flips to May (sometimes even April), I spend those last misrable weeks in class daydreaming about the books I'll read after my last final. This year I even made a list in my daily planner (so it appeared as if I was taking notes in class).

Although this summer looks a bit overwhelming.

Granted, my "list philsophy" is to cram as much things into a list as in-humanly possible so that maybe 25% of the things actually get accomplished. It makes my lists appear stressful--maybe borderline insane--but it keeps me on my toes, at least. And, hey, I like to dream big.

Anyway, here's this summer's list. Please, if you have any ounce of kindness in you, for goodness sake, DO NOT SUGGEST ANOTHER BOOK FOR ME TO READ. If you do, I'll probably want to read it! And I'll just get sad because I know there won't be time :-(

The Bible (appropriate before I start sem, don't you think?)
Harry Potter 1 (reread)
Harry Potter 2 (reread)
Harry Potter 3 (reread)
Harry Potter 4 (reread)
Harry Potter 5 (reread)
Harry Potter 6 (reread)
Harry Potter 7
Mere Christianity
Hostage to the Devil
Glimpses of the Devil
Bondage of the Will
Elements of Style (reread)
Revelation Commentary
Murder Must Advertise
Gaudy Night
Do They Run When They See You Coming?
Why Men Hate Going to Church
Case for Faith
Case for Christ
Velvet Elvis
The City of God
St. Augustine's Confessions (reread)
The Proper Distinction Between Law and Gospel
Christian Dogmatics
The Book of Concord
Blue Like Jazz
The Gospel According to Starbucks

Right now I'm reading the first book of the Bible and the first book of the Harry Potter series. I like to think that I lead a well-balanced life.

You know what book you should read? The one that Justin is going to write for your wedding! :-)

When I see you this weekend I expect you to look up from your books once in a while to chat with me.

Seriously, that list is pretty daunting. Can a person read the entire Book of Concord in a summer and still enjoy himself?

Just enjoy the summer ..when you get in the real world, you might wish you would have just veged. (one who knows)

An impressive list Mr. L!
Even my AP Lit students are only required to read 3... Hope that Kelly can be squeezed into the reading schedule some time in there...
But I do admire your ambition... I just doubt that you'll pull it all off! I would suggest watching the first 4 Harry Potter movies in lieu of books 1-4..... besides #7 will probably be a gazillion pages long and tie up an unexpected amount of time. (Plus you and Kelly will likely share a copy limiting the amount of time you can have it all to yourself!)
