For you non-Milwaukee natives, Pizza Shuttle is this fantastic place on Farwell, open until the wee hours of the night. It's not really a restaurant...it's an experience. Tablespoons of grease falls off the pizza while you're chowing down; the ice cream is marvelous; and the company is, well, one-of-a-kind.

My first memory of Pizza Shuttle includes H, actually. She had been telling us about this place, saying, "It's this totally awesome place in Milwaukee...but you have to dress weird to go." (paraphrase) One night, naive-as-a-freshman-oh-wait-he-was Todd (sporting a hot construction outfit) and his friends jump in the car with Holly and head out for a very memorable night! (And, H, I think that's the night I added you to my cell phone contacts, so we could communicate if we got lost on the way.) Good times.
I hadn't been back in a very long time, but the other night Justin, Jess, Kelly, and I were trying to find this 24/7 coffee shop in Milwaukee called Node. After much searching, we found it! But it was closed. For good, that is. Sadness! So instead, we pulled a u-turn and journeyed to (you guessed it) Pizza Shuttle! This place is a king of randomness...kind of a default college hang out place. Actually, that night there was a whole group of Concordians there, also very random.
I could stop this post here, but I have more to say, hence
Part 2
Senior year has been an odd experience so far, not at all how I envisioned it. I thought it would be like a "final lap," trying to experience all of the things I love up here one last time. What I'm finding out, though, is that almost none of these things are staying the same. They're either changing, or just plain gone. Like the bluff.
Even Pizza Shuttle! They're renovating their seating area right now. Why the heck do they need to renovate? They're PIZZA SHUTTLE for crying out loud! Blockheads!!! The greasy walls and the cramped seating MADE that place.
It's not all bad, just weird. And it makes me realize, more and more, how you really never get to experience the same thing twice.
Wow this got deep...time for bed : )

Ahhh. Pizza Shuttle. The best freakin' thing about it was that the "you have to dress weird to go" thing got passed down through 3 or more "generations" of CUW students. I think Jake Rynes told us about it.
Isn't that Becca's safety vest?
I have to say that there are very few foods that don't agree with me, but even though it is splendid, Pizza Shuttle pizza made me like violently sick when I ate it. All that grease. Guh. So I stuck with the ice cream.
Good times. This makes me want to post on things that I miss in Wisconsin. Perhaps I will.
I can't believe the Node closed! I always wanted to go there but never did.
And I know what you mean about things changing. Thank God that He doesn't change!
I LOVE Pizza Shuttle. I haven't had Pizza Shuttle in YEARS. YUM!
