French Restaurants and New Years Eve Fun

Yeesh, I guess it's been a while since I've posted. I have these pictures from New Years Eve (or more importantly, my birthday!) so I thought I'd share.

After Kelly and I pulled into Cedarburg (after a long, long drive from Minnestota), I had just enough time to unpack and re-iron my clothes before we left for dinner. I can't, for the life of me, remember what the name of the place was, but it was on Water Street and it was French. And delicious. Like Kelly said that night, it was nice being in a restaurant where the other people were actually our age! (not senior citizens) Good choice, J.

Then we drove back to Kelly's apartment where we ate Kermit's face! Poor guy. I can't recall why Justin and I were eating those oranges (although I think they were a gift from Becky). Hmmmm.

The potential climax of the night turned out to be fairly anticlimatic . . . We'd been watching Dick Clark's New Year's show on some station, and they had a countdown in the screen's lower right-hand corner. We kept assuming that the station would switch to the New York ball-drop, and by the time we realized they weren't (5 seconds to 12:00) it was a little late. Whoops. Happy New Year.

But I'm proud to announce that the first hour of 2007 was spent playing Scattegories!

Dang. I heard about Kermit but that is a nice Kermit. Good job, K.

And hey, at least you were awake at midnight.

New Year's is always anti-climatic. I think that's because we say no to drugs.

Might want to check the spelling of Minnesota.... Just wondering if you have a recipe for Kermit cake hotdish??

"Monster-in-law"

Dear Monster-in-Law,

#1. Kermit cake hotdish? No, but I have a killer frog eye salad recipe.

#2. Concerning MN spelling: my New Year's resolution is to spend my energy wisely, only paying attention to things that mattter.
