A Bake-Off!

Hey everyone! This is my first official post to my new blog! *Thunderous applause*

It's pretty exciting to join the blogging community, and a lot of thanks goes to Holly over there in North Carolina. Kelly should be coming on board as soon as she wraps up her pre-student teaching.

These last two weeks of the semester have been surprisingly stress-free. It's strange. Maybe it's a calm before the Christmas storm? (I suppose that would be a blizzard...) We'll have to wait and see!

So now that most of my big projects have been crossed off my "to do" list, Kelly and I have had a blast catching up with friends over the last few days. Last Friday (which was a SNOW DAY...thank the LORD!) we saw The Nativity Story with Jess and Justin. Katy flew in from Utah on Sunday, so we had a blast at the annual "Praise" Haven, reminiscing about the good 'ole days of set-up. Between Katy, Emily, Joshua, Kelly, and me, we had a fairly loud row in the crowd!

And last night, Jake came over for a fun night of baking! I guess my title is misleading...it wasn't quite a Bake-Off, but we had a blast making taco salads with homemade taco shells, courtesy of Kathy's famous can of rocks. :-) We also pulled some pecan tassies out of the oven as we watched a very (not so) intelligent film...

And tonight Emily, Kelly, and I are hanging out over dinner, coffee, and some other random fun.

Ah...it's good have a social life again.

Whoo! First comment on the first blog post! If this blog is half as good as lcmsnews, it's going to be amazing!

I have to admit that I am proud that my blog has inspired a couple of new bloggers. I really do find it to be a good way to keep in touch with people, without being lame like Facebook.

I knew you couldn't stay on the dark side for long.

I'll put you on my the links list on my blog. You should get a links list too.

So how did you come up with your blog title, etc. Just curious. I heard you are amazing with coffee makers.

I am making this a long comment so that I don't have to go write a Romeo and Juliet test...seven more school days until Christmas break. Dude, I miss college length breaks, for real.

Okay. Going now. Yay Todd.

Love,
H
